Home on the Hill serves clients and their families who are affected by serious mental illness living in the Richmond Hill, Ontario area. We believe in treating individuals with dignity, respect, and we foster independence using therapeutic recreation and art, social supportive housing, and community integration.
Our family support/respite program helps family caregivers support a loved one through diagnosis and beyond. We offer support and psycho-educational sessions, art expression, outings, and yoga to relax. We promote public education about mental illness through our Robert Veltheer Lecture Series on Mental Illness which gives free lectures four times a year.
We practice a family-centered model of care that involves the individual with the illness and the family caregivers and siblings. Our small supportive housing program provides five supportive housing beds where our tenants receive rehabilitative support and are meaningfully engaged.
Family Psycho-education Sessions
